Welcoming Those Who Seek Asylum

#Faith4Asylum Tools and Resources to End Title 42 Expulsions and Welcome Asylum Seekers With Dignity

The Interfaith Immigration Coalition (IIC) is calling on the Biden administration and Congress to:

Repeal Trump-era anti-asylum policies. Strengthen the asylum system to put human dignity at its core. Heal families, souls, and communities. Transform U.S. asylum laws to build a system that protects human dignity in all forms.

Join us with these action tools!

About Asylum

People seek asylum in the United States because they see no other option. They make long and difficult journeys from countries as far as India and Mauritania, and as close as Central America and Mexico, because they believe the U.S. represents a beacon of hope for them and their families.

Once here, they are met with inhumane and often deliberately cruel laws and policies. People of faith and conscience can build awareness, work and pray for justice, and take action in solidarity with people seeking asylum to repeal and strengthen; heal and transform.

Tools for Education, Action, and Outreach

Use this toolkit to educate your families, schools, congregations, and communities about the right to seek asylum in the U.S., and help them take constructive action.

To plan a faith vigil around ending Title 42 expulsions and creating a humane asylum process, see this resource.
